My wife knew very little about Mike Harding so did not know what to expect.. But she like me was very pleasantly impressed by a skilled raconteur, comfortable and confident in his abilities.
Mike is a natural comic. He paints warm vivid pictures with words and then delivers a sharp punch line at the end of the image that had the whole audience in stitches. The humour needed no apologies - no swearing and crude vulgarity. Some level of innuendo but nothing to offend anyone.
Mixed in with the stories are a few folk songs, some humourous and some serious. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

Thoroughly enjoyed Mike Harding at King Georges hall Blackburn. Excelent mixture of music, poems and stories in Mike's easy style. Good mixture of old and new material - Mike should do more tours to spread the joy.

saw mike in the was great then so I was looking forward to the gig this was even better the venue is much smaller so the atmosphere was great the sound was excellent could not fault any thing I can recommend the venue the show all in all one of the best nights out in years I took a much younger lad with me ( daughters boyfriend ) with me and he was very impressed with the mix of humour and top class musicianship no tricks justhonest class playing I hope I will be priveleged to see a show sometime soon thanks for a great time and all the best

After not having seen him since the 1970s I was amazed how good he still was. A brilliant night out. Would recommend the show to anyone!

Mike Harding was brilliant and full value for the over two hours of pure entertainment. Laughter (and tears) and jaw aching, even the day after.

As expected brilliant, some old gags revived but I didnt mind that he has a good old fashioned way of telling a joke not all clean I might add but his comical genius and the experience he has gained over the years still put him up there with the best.

In a word - brilliant. Mike Harding's charm, talent and charisma shone from the stage as brilliantly as the stories he told. With a peerfect balance between song's stories and poems, Mike took us on a journey not only in his life, but back to when one man shows were simple, thought proving and side-splitingly funny. Having recently seen some of the more 'contempory' comedians currently touring the bigger venues, Mike Harding provided more achingly funny moments than they did. This evening was truly a one man spectacular - not a funnier man on the planet. if you missed it - poor you -ever get a chance to see Mike Harding again do yourself a favour - put it to the top of your list as that is where he needs to be.

We saw Mike live over 35 years ago at the New Theartre in Hull, he is just as good now as he was then, truly Amazing. What a great entertainer and genuine person he is.

We had the best laugh that we'd had for ages listening to Mike telling his stories of mostly real life people & also of his own childhood.
He has the gift of putting stories across that makes them hilarious & my husband & I ached when we came out of the theatre because we had laughed so much.
Absolutely brilliant!

Mike Harding is laid back but works hard to ensure he covers a wide range of entertaining, from humour to sadness, and remains as addictive as ever. He has contagious laughter and a continuous flow of anecdotes and memories. A great evening.
