Another fantastic night at the Jazz Cafe with the brilliant Mama's Gun. Undoubtably one of the best live acts around and deserving of more recognition. Sat upstairs at the venue this time with a meal included in the ticket price up there. Would give this a miss next time as food not great and atmosphere much better downstairs. View wise though you could not beat it. Great set list with a fantastic new song thrown in. If thats the measure of the next album, its looking good already.

Absolutely great performance - again. Cant understand why this band aren't more popular in the UK. I would watch them anyday of the week. Fantastic live performance in an intimate venue. Terrys mum on the next table also had a great night celebrating her 60th birthday.

I've seen Mamas Gun quite a few times now and they never disappoint! Tonight was a sell out. They delivered a very strong set, full of tunes that you couldn't FAIL to dance to, and debuting their new bass player in the process. Vocals were mesmerising and harmonies tight. There were plenty of opportunities and encouragement to sing along and the banter flowed effortlessly. A truly great night from which we buzzed all the way home!

If you ever get a chance to see them, then you must. One of the tightest live bands i have ever had the pleasure of seeing live (multiple times) and they switch it up every single time. Their music is fantastic, the band is incredible and they wonderfully humble when you tell them how amazing they are. You're missing a trick if you don't go - they turn you into MG Addicts at the drop of a hat, and that's a very, very good thing!!!

I'd seen these guys in support of Beverley Knight a couple of times. Loved their energy & love for the music, so bought their cds. When the gig came up I had to get tickets to see them do a longer set. To watch them be at one with the crowd & music was great. To have a band with character & stage presence is a rare thing these days & this band always deliver energy & fun.The new bass player Cameron fitted in with their relaxed but tight performance perfectly. Fantastic set list of old songs & a couple of new ones too. Can't wait for the next album. If you ever get the chance to see these guys anywhere in the world they will never disapoint with a performance or soulful funky tunes.

Great night, great performance!! If you haven't seen them try to they're really good!

Ok the Jazz Cafe review. Not a bad place for a gig. If you are a sound specialist it's not the place as the balcony can clip the sound a little. It was really cold in there to begin with and the bar staff numbers are sparse until later.

Mamas Gun have it all, quirkiness, fun, great music, and exceptional talent! New Boy fits in the band like he was never not part of it!
You must see these guys live as they are so much better than the albums let up! Well done!!!

My favourite band in my favourite venue! Loved the duet with Beverley Knight but the boys don't need any help in getting the party started.... They pulled out all the stops to showcase their best album yet. Brilliant!

Thoroughly enjoyable and exhilirating .... Very pleasantly surprised and so glad I went! A blend of funk, soul and rock (ish) ..... couldn't help but dance!!! They have a new fan :)

If you get a chance go and see this band you will not be disapointed. 10 / 10. really entertaining and one of the best sounds around at the moment.
