We really enjoyed the show and I would definitely recommend going to watch Alan (my guilty crush!) if you can.
I'd give 0.5 if I could to make an overall rating of 4.5 - My only reason for slightly below the full 5 is that my legs were so cramped at The Apollo that I couldn't always concentrate on the comedy.
A fun evening, with lots of laughs. Go Alan!

Rushed to get to show start at 8pm - didn't start til almost 8.20pm. Alan Davies then proceeded to spend a good 15-20 mins asking the audience where they were from (yawn - not interested where anyone is from, not what I paid to hear!) He then spent the first half of the show talking about nothing new which barely raised a titter. Interval was announced by Alan in such a blase way that nobody knew for sure if it had started! (See you in about 15 mins, then walked off??) Was so disappointed with first half that walked out and didn't bother going back for rest of show - very anticlimactic, expected much more from Alan Davies. Also, Apollo didn't bother spending money on a screen so that those of us at the back could actually see the man properly. Waste of £25.

Have been waiting over a decade to see this man live in stand up again and he didn't disappoint. In his own style he kept the laughs coming and interacted with the crowd beautifully. For those that have only seen him on tv shows get down to his stand up gigs as it's on another level.

Thought it was going to be really funny and was really looking forward to it but unfortunately we ended up sitting behind the tallest man in the world and as the seats didn't really have much height between them it meant we had a very limited view. The volume of Alan was very low too so it was very hard to hear him so we missed half of it! What we did hear was funny in places but not hysterical and it was a shame as we travelled 85 miles to get there!!

Very good show throughout though the second half was stronger. Alan Davies is an intelligent comedian who has some great stories to tell.

The thing with AD is that the next day you can't remember what on earth you were laughing at, only that the sides still ache. Time passed quickly in mesmerising mirth.

Alan had us in fits of laughter from the start. Still got the abilty to engage with the audience. Will probably buy his dvd when released to pick up on the bits we missed. Well done Alan we loved it

now i've followed Alan Davies since he was on the pub circuit some years ago. He was the funniest comic around but i have to say that i think he's been away too long. this show was dreadful. The sound was so poor so that we couldn't hear much of what he said and he seemed to be just breezing through with no energy. It was so underwhelming we left at the interval, and by the look of the streams of people following us this is not a 'unique' opinion!

Funny and sweet with a little bit of filth - Didn't know what to expect as had only seen Jonathan Creek and QI but really enjoyed his story telling conversational joke style ...that was a bit "blue" in areas.
Only draw back was the seats Block 5 Hammersmith Apollo had a bright yellow light shining in our eyes throughout the whole performance so had to close my eyes for most of the 2nd half

I am a huge fan of Alan Davies and I was a little bit disappointed. I am not a native speaker so it's up to me to take up a challenge and see stand up live. However it's up to the comedian to take up a challenge and try to speak a little bit more intelligible. All in all - worth seeing, but don't set the bar too high.

We came from Norwich to London for the weekend and were glad to catch Alan Davies. His observations were hilarious and we have been quoting him all the time.....especially the pub closed at 11 and you got in the car and drove home!
