This is quite a conventional museum experience and set within quite a small area but I thought it was very good.
I found the layout and the content to be excellent. If you are interested in nineteenth-century London and/or you are interested in Dickens, you will enjoy it and it had some very interesting extras I did not expect to see.
Clear, well-presented information - which was simple but also analytical and intelligent - and read like a novel as you walked through and experienced different aspects of London life.
I also enjoyed some of the museum's other (free) exhibitions while I was there.
If you're a student studying Dickens, it's well worth a visit!
