If this was the best the BAFL had to offer then American football will always be a minority sport attended by a few die hard fans.
The event venue was great, although the pitch is a bit far away because of the athletics track (not a lot you can do about that), parking free, plentiful and close by.
But where was the razzamatazz? The cheer leaders didnt actually cheer and always seemed a little confused as to what was going on, they were lovely eye candy but just lost. The half time band was awful, prompting most spectators to go for a walk. Lipicool was clever, but a bit short and never came back as promised. There could have been more trade stands to look at during game intervals and a commentator or two would have been a really good idea during the game.
This was the first time I'd been to Britbowl and after all the promise of it being in London and at such a good venue I expected a fun packed family day. I'll admit I did get to see some good football. But the organisers dropped the ball with the off field entertainment which was just poor.
Not recommended for families.
