This gig was absolutely incredible and I've seen and played some sick shows in my time. The energy in the crowd was mental the whole night. I enjoyed the first band 'Insense', the third band 'Ghost' were in my opinion pretty bad and detracted from the excitement of the show. In Flames were fourth on and impressed me. As headliners Trivium put on an amazing show and we definitely got our moneys worth for the show. But Rise To Remain...... What a brilliant band they were by far the highlight of the night! So much to I bought tickets for their headline tour in march the very next day!!! Best metal band at the moment with the best metal album of 2011 in my opinion.

Location:Saltash

Venue :- Plymouth Pavilions is notoriously poor for sound quality, the venue was aptly sized but wasn't at full capacity which is strange considering metal gigs there usually sell pretty nicely.

Price :- 5 bands for £30 is a good price for a ticket i think.

Bands :-
* Insense - regrettably i missed their set as i was coming from band practice.
* Rise To Remain - they were fairly well received but didn't really fit the bill.
* Ghost - was a half hour head trip to watch still not sure if i enjoyed them or not.
* In Flames - i am a huge In Flames fan but they decided to play just 3 songs that weren't from their new album and no songs from anything earlier than the one song from Soundtrack To Your Escape...frankly i went in the hopes of seeing some of their older songs.
* Trivium - were fantastic and really went down brilliantly playing a set that had as many classics as new tracks.

In all it was worth going to if you had nothing better to do that night.

A really good group of bands in a really good venue, trivium were amazing and this was the 4th time I saw them!, the other bands I saw were also amazing an excellent varied selection of talent and I wish them all luck! This tour was called the defenders of the faith 3 and would I go again?, Hell yeah!

great night, got absolutely squished but enjoyed the night loads, shame about the pain in the butt security staff just giving everything that didnt make it across the barrier from the bands to the same person, ghost were very unusual and whatever they were burning stunk, could of done with a bit more volume on the mic for the singers

This event was amazing! The venue was small enough to get right up close to the band and all of the acts performed really well. The staff were all helpful - even passing out glasses of water to those at the front. Trivium played so well and interacted well with the audience. Overall a brilliant night and I can't wait to see them again next time they come to the UK.

Trivium were amazing, my first time seeing them but the crowd was immense, the atmosphere was insane with amazing mosh pits.
In flames were great supporting and really got the crowd going
and rise to remain were amazing too, they are going to be really really big, just wait
i would definitely see them again, and again

This gig was real value for money, a real line up of awesome bands. Took my 11 year old son and we both had a ball. To Top things off Trivium were totally amazing. First time we saw Trivium and cant wait to see them again.

In these days of austerity £27 to see 5 bands is hard to believe. Ghost provided a theatrical performance whilst In Flames provided a no holds barred brutal sweat introduction.
without the need for radio air play , reality shows trivium attract a new and faithful crowd with a mixture of old and new songs.. Seen them 6 times and are easily one of the best live bands I've seen.
And this coming fron an ageing 49 year old rock fanatic.

Trivium headlined, and were absolutely amazing! They put on an incredibly energetic show, and really got the crowd going. In Flames (direct support) were equally as good, playing some classics (Take This Life) as well as new songs (Fear Is The Weakness, Ropes). Rise To Remain, what can I say? They get better every time I see them!
Ghost and Insense, who were providing lower support, put on decent sets as well. I was very impressed with the stage presence of Ghost.

Two words - freeking awesome.
Rise above were outstanding - Austins vocals were better than expected and the lead guitarist just incredible.
Trivium - what can I say - they rushed through 15 songs or more with bearly a breath in between - incredible. This is a must see band.
