Featured Review

Funny, fun and heart warming. A fantastic show from start to finish! Very slightly different to the film but brilliantly done. All the children were amazing especially Matilda and my children loved it!
Would reccommend to anyone with children especially if they like Roald Dahl stories.
Wonderful!

The show was very good and would recommend this to anyone of any age. The acting was brilliant and the music fantastic. Would defiantly go again but wouldn't sit at the top again.

We went for my daughters 18th birthday treat as Matilda the film is her all time favourite. An excellent musical suitable for all ages. Will definitely book to see it again. The children actors are amazing and the gate scene had such precision and timing.

This is the 2nd time we have seen this musical. A must for everyone. Really appreciate the hard work in getting this musical to flow.Superb acting and singing considering how many young children are performing in this.
12 year old daughter, 80 year old granny enjoyed it equally.

Fabulous! Matilda was amazing and a credit to the young talent in the UK. The cast were all very good but especially the children in the production, who demonstrated the quality that youngsters can produce with dedication and commitment. My niece and myself had a wonderful time, however, I would recommend that ticket sales could be a lower price to make the experience more accessible to all.

Well worth seeing. The whole production was fantastic. Would definately reccommend. Very entertaining. Matilda was brilliantly acted as was Miss Truchball.

We took our 6 year Old daughter to watch matilda at the Cambridge theatre it was amazing . My daughter loved every minute the cast worked so hard . We were 10 rows from the front at the end of the ilse the cast would go past acting witch was great as you could see them upclose they were great seats , this theatre was quite small so where ever you sit you miss out.

I took my sister for her birthday and was amazed by everything! The songs were fantastic, kids were amazing and miss trunchbull was wonderfully horrible!!
Would high recommend it to anyone, just beware there is some strobe lighting which I wasn't aware of before I went and the theatre was extremely hot, however truly amazing from start to finish and would go again and again!

Took my younger sister to Matilda for her birthday, our expectations were high given the reviews, reading the book and having watched the film many times when we were younger and it did not dissapoint.
Matilda's performance was fautless, Miss (or should I say Mr) Trunchbull was wickedly funny, the parents were great at being nasty and Miss Honey was perfectly sweet.
I would recommend this to anyone of all ages...

Really enjoyable The children were amazing. My 6 year old who has been to the theatre lots was very scared though, it was quite loud and the head mistress scared him, so I would caution people with young children that if their children are sensitive maybe wait until they are a little older.
Great lyrics and songs.

If there's one West End show you should see this year, it's this one!! The singing and dancing, from both children and adults, was faultless, the set was fantastic, and the music and lyrics, out of this world. Go and see it - you will not be disappointed!

my children thoroughly enjoyed the show, taking note of all the effects. The letters surrounding the stage were a great source of entertainment for us all.
My only criticism would be that it was not possible to read all the words on the blackboard from our seats - perhaps some more force in writing would make it clearer?

Matilda was amazing. It was the favourite book and movie when my now 17 and 14 year olds were much younger so it had a lot to live up to. It did not disappoint! Both they and I loved it. The young cast was tremendous and we particularly loved the librarian as well. Would love to see it again.

Neither of us are kids and we had a great time! From the amazing set to the funny songs Matilda was a great show. David Leonard was hilarious as Miss Trunchbull and our Bruce Bogtrotter stole the show! Michael Higgins deserved a standing ovation for himself for his fantastic dance moves! A great show but quite scary for little children in places. Truer to the book than the film.

We have been to watch many musicals over the years but for all round entertainment, humour, impressive effects and ace acting from all (especially the children) I am not sure it can be beaten.
