This was the worst concert many of us had attended and sadly, it was not just due to the rain. The whole concert just didn't seem to be given much thought, as the main bug-bear for me was the poor sound from the main stage. There were only speakers at the stage and not down the sides so unless you was at the front, you just couldn't hear properly, as the volumn would go up and down and so you couldn't hear much - and we were nowhere near the back, but just past the seats at the end of the VIP section (if that was what it should have been called !!!). The majority of the main stage just could not be heard and so you lost interest in the show, as hearing the odd word was ridiculous, so the softer sounding groups was a complete waste of time and i feel embarrassing for them. The West End Stage was good for the short acts on, but this was because we got closer. In fact, we even noticed that you could watch the TV screens on the West End Stage for the main stage acts and hear it better, which is what many people seemed to do - its just a shame we all didn't save the £60 plus booking fee and watch it on TV or listened to a CD. I heard this was the first concert at Hatfield House and it would be the last one i would want to go to, as a complete waste of money on tickets and the high prices for food and drink, that is when you got served. For some 20,000 people, i think you needed more food outlets than say 12 as was shown by the massive queues.
