The European Skating championships were a delight to watch. The volunteers and the Sheffield arena staff were all lovely and there was loads of yorkshire warmth on show! The only downsides were the terrible food options - it's a sporting event - why all the junk food!! Not a bit of decent food to be found. The seats were very cramped and there were so many empty seats reserved for VIPs... Tickets were cheap but the seats were put on sale in tranches so hard to know if you were getting the best seats possible. Advertising of event was very slim - only knew about it because of skating connection. Loved to see the school groups! It didn't feel like a big skating event though beacuse of the other concessions there and the few numbers.

Sadly I could only go to Sheffield for the Gala but it was SO worth while travelling from Kent and back in a day to see it. Brilliant!

We were privileged to have a ticket for the whole week, and didn't miss a minute of the outstanding skating. The UK hasn't hosted the championships for over 20 years, so this was a once-in-a-generation opportunity to see the best skaters Europe has to offer.

Never mind dancing on Ice. The real deal was here in Sheffield. The Pairs were perfect, the dancers delicious. the ladies event was exciting- particularly Carolina Kostner, Kira Corpi, Elena ( from Georgia) and teh two French girls. However the real excitement was the mens final. Everyone i know loved Kim lucines imaginative Jungle book programme, we all loved Javier Fernandez from Spain. 17 year old Artur the newest Russian sensation was great.. but the highlight for me was Evgeni Pluchenko winning his 7th European title- just amazing

Firstly, it's easy to get to the Arena~ secondly, the show started on time~ thirdly, it's the first time I watch a live figure skating show~ really happy to see Plushenko there~

Though there were a little mistakes, all the skaters were still fantastic~
I'm just so grateful~

The best weekend I have experienced in a long time, this event ran like clockwork staff at the event couldn’t be more helpful and friendly there was a brilliant ambiance all over the stadium with amazing skating stars that were a delight to watch. To end a perfect day my daughter got her photo taken with some of the skating stars which she will keep to remind her of this wonderful day.

Spent the whole day in the Sheffield Area, and it seem like a few hours. The competition was intense and the event was enjoyable and very awe-inspiring. The price was very reasonable for experiencing such athleticism and skill in action. AMAZING

Excellent event which my daughter and I enjoyed very much. Confusing seating plan however. Took us ages to find our seats as 211-212 seemed to run into each other and the signposting was not good.
Also, very poor leg room and difficult to get out once we were in. It seemed much more cramped than other venues and it was a major task to actually get to the stairs during the interval.

The European Figure Skating Championship in Sheffield was just outstanding The standard was so high this year and very well organised The only down side was getting in and out of the Arena manly at half time it was a shamble with hundreds of people trying to get out of one door and staff just looking on

After having an unexpected accident the week before resulting with me having crutched I can't thank Motorpoint Arena staff for all the help they gave me, parking the car, using the lift and moving my seat so no steps. Europeans was totally an awesome event, brilliantly organised and well worth watching. Three generations of my family went to this and all had a fantastic day.

Event was excellent, I am an avid fan of Dancing On Iceand go to the show every year,this was completely different. This was professionals showing how it should be done! We were a bit concerned about how many skaters fell, in the women's finals out of 24 there were only about 5 who did not have a fall. An excellent show, excellent value for money!

How fantastic to see a major figure skating championship in England! I hope that we see more of this standard of skating here in the future. It was amazing to see the skaters skills and personalities close up, and wow, what skills they have. Seeing the competitors push themselves for glory, you could feel the tension in the air.

I booked the tickets not really knowing what to expect and was half thinking we would be leaving after a couple of hours but how wrong I was! It's not too often in this country that you get over 8 hours of entertainment for under £25 and we really enjoyed it.
There were 24 skaters in each final so we saw a total of 48 performances and each one was watchable as they were all different.
The skaters generally got better from start to end so by the time the best ones were on it was easy to appreciate how good they were compared to those already seen.
It was a privilege to be there.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience on Friday of the ladies short programme in the afternoon and the Ice Dance - Free Dance in the evening. What an experience - the skating was fabulous and I am so glad I was able to attend. I also took my 9 & 10 year old and they were absolutely mesmorized! Thank you for a wonderful event.

Watching the best skaters in Europe was an opportunity I am so glad I didn't miss. There was a great atmosphere in the arena, with plenty of biased support from fans of many countries which added to the fun. In the afternoon I saw the 'Men's short programme' and in the evening it was the 'Pair's free skating'. There was a 20min interval between each set of 6 competitors, and a longer interval between the 2 events. So there was plenty of opportunity to get autographs etc. All the Staff of the arena were polite and helpful and cheerful. In fact I enjoy I enjoyed it so much, I purchased another ticket for the 'Ice dance free dance' the next day. NB. The Hot dogs at £3.50 are good value.
