Featured Review

Devlin was absolutely fantastic live! Great atmosphere, got the crowd going. Devs even got the parents that were there to bounce about... Epic.

The support acts were awesome too.

This was the event I'd been waiting for, the venue was great, and Devlin was bang on as usual. Seen Devlin at other venues but this was by far the best.

What a great evening and fantastic value for money... Devlin live is something to see and highlighting the music from his second album, he just gets better and better!

Doors at half 7. Unannounced DJ played until half nine, (good tunes, bad crowd reaction, no word muttered to the crowd) Devlin came on at just passed half 9 to just before 10! HALF AN HOUR! after just standing for two and a half hours? Me and my partner had bused up from Stirling that day and are absolute massive fans, what was played was amazing but man, serious loss of respect for Devlin sir.

Amazing venue, reasonably priced drinks with easy access to smoking area, cloakroom cheep and available, toilets were clean and staff pleasant .

Devlin is a lyrical genius. He was amazing when he was on, the only let down was the wait until he came on with some sort of technical difficulties on set. That was the only reason which I dropped my rating from 5*'s to 4... Because based on Devlin alone I would rate him 6/5... But there was a very long wait until he came on.

Warm up acts were uninspiring and started late. It took nearly three hours for Devlin to take to the stage and his set of only 40 minutes left us feeling short changed. Devlin was excellent whilst on stage but such a short set after such a long wait was very poor.

I liked the event because it was a friendly atmosphere, however, it was a shame that i wasn't right at the front to touch devlin's hand [DAMN]. But the good part was that i got to see him in person, although at first i felt a little uneasy since i was new to the place, devlin got the party started with a few of his old songs as well as new ones- brainwashed was the highlight, and let it go and wretch 32 was there plus other guests making the atmosphere enjoyable. I can't wait until the other devlin concerts arrive- bring it on.

Devlin's set was really good. Scala an excellent intimate concert venue, sound quality good. Would defo go to scala again and see Devlin again

Great intimate venue and so much energy, Devlin is a great performer. Unfortunately I couldn't hear a thing him or any other vocalist was singing. the mic's were obviously turned down too low and it spoilt the gig for me. the crowd had lots of energy but the further back from the stage you got, the more static the crowd became and the more withdrawn the facial expressions were.

Such a shame I had been really looking forward to this gig.

I wasn't to sure about the venue to begin with but once me & my best friend were inside & had found a spot to stand in I was very happy! We were jus to the left of the stage an had a perfect view... No-one tall standing in front of me... :) Both of the support acts were really good, Chasing Grace first then Krept & Konan & the warm up DJ Matt Howes was pretty good as well. Then it was time for Devlin... He was absolutely amazing, totally on top form, I've never seen him look so happy! He was joined on stage by RawzArtilla for a song. The only down side was that Olivia's mic wasny working properly... Overall, I had an amazing night, the venue was intimate, the crowd were totally up for it & Devlin definitely didn't disappoint!!

Sound quality was log, could barely hear the words. Support acts sounded rubbish, mainly to do with the sound quality. Devlin played for 40 mins ... really wanted to like the gig but let down by a rubbish venue and uninterested artist.

Fantastic night, Devlin was beyond brilliant. Would recommend any fan of rap/grime music go and see him.

Venue was good, drinks not too expensive and a nice atmosphere and layout.
