From the moment these guys hit the stage you knew something special was about to happen.the Jolly Boys are a class act and are very comfortable with being on stage and their newly acquired status as the coolest old guys on tour at the moment.Musically they know their craft inside out...who`d have thought maracas could be such an integral part of the sound...it is and it works sooooo well. The guitar sound is just so relaxed and reminds of an early Santana at times...how they get the bass sound is a mystery but it sounds wonderful.Their choice of material is unbelievable at first but after a couple of nubers it just sounds right,,,,,songs by the Doors,Amy Winehouse and a magnificent version of Perfect Day by Lou Reed.To sum up a superb gig in an intimate setting akin to the 100 club...what a treat!
