The gig, including the support act and the venue were brilliant. Brighton Dome is an intimate little venue with excellent acoustics and views. Aloe Blaac himself was as cool as you like and really got the crowd going. Some amazing covers too.

Aloe is an incredible new artist, not many people are that good these days. His voice is captivating and strong. He is an excellent role model for young people - looks nice, dresses good, sings deep lyrics... I thoroughly enjoyed his top quality concert, he was brilliant... His new album is soooo good - best RnB album released within past few years. His work is very soulful and deep.
I would go again, shoulg he return - and I hope he does... pretty soon!

Aloe Blacc is bringing the soul, funk and blues back. It is incredible to 'participate' in his live performances. He has so much energy and he has an amazing way of spreading that energy throughout the entire venue. If you only appreciate the genre of music, seeing Aloe Blacc live (as headliner) is a must! If you like his music, then I don't know what you're waiting for, stop reading reviews and get your tickets immediately!

From start to finish, I loved his performance!!! Aloe Blacc has a truly alluring voice, hitting high notes & holding them for a longf period of time - certainly had my jaw hitting the floor ;0)
Thoroughly enjoyed the night, my favourite song being Green Light!

An intimate venue. Aloe sounded great and there was a real party atmosphere. His cover of California Dreaming was awesome. Meet and greet at the end was fab.

After a cheesy and cringeworthy support act was totally blown away by Aloe. He not only has an amazing voice but is a real showman. Would definately see him again but would miss the support act.

That is exactly what he creates on stage. Took my husband as a surprise for our anniversary and he rated Mr Dawkins III against Stevie Wonder whom we have been lucky enough to see perform twice! Aloe fills every moment on stage, his band are fantastic, and he has great interaction with the audience (I particularly enjoyed the parting of the audience a la Soul Train stylee). His voice is flawless. It was a really uplifting experience that left us with a 'feel-good' glow. If you enjoy soul music go whilst you can I am sure he will just get better and and better (and more expensive!)

Great voice and great performance, lots of energy. Would highly recommend. Venue was good too.
Only negative and this is very minor was the sound set-up. They needed to reduce the volume on the drums as it was drowning out his voice in some parts. I've listened to a lot of his regular album and acoustic versions and they do not suffer from this.

Aloe Blacc gave a brilliant show at the Brighton Dome which is a lovely venue. His voice was just soulful and he can really move - very classy!
Also he stood in the foyer afterwards to sign merchandise and have his picture taken with the audience - how many artists do that!

What a fabulous performance. The band were great with Sax, Trumpet, Bass, keyboard and drums. Aloe has such charisma on stage and a voice full of soul. He played songs from his album and treated us to taste of his roots with rap to the jazz accompliment. - totally recommend, can't wait for the next album and tour.

Having seen Aloe on TV playing Glastonbury and various show, I was sure we were in for a good show. All my expectations were met and more. What a voice. I just wished I got standing tickets as was on the dance floor.... Cant wait for him to come back to the UK. Best concert I have seen this year. And to cap it off at the end he meet his fans.... what a treat.

I took my wife for her 30th birthday surprise, & although we both like Aloe, he was 10 no make that 100 times better than I expected! The bloke has unbelievable stage presence & the show had such an amazing feel good factor. His band, The Grand Scheme were awesome too. All in all the performance was simply unforgettable!

This was a brilliant concert. Aloe Blacc has launched himself as a true showman. We always knew that his lyrics and rythm were great for others - but nown seeing him do it for himself - at the tail end of his first concert tour, is a validation of his ability as a star in his own right. He and his band were tired and ready to go hometo California at the end of a long tour - but they didn't leave without letting us know they have arrived on a world stage.

I first heard 'I Need A Dollar' when I turned the telly on and my daughter had left it on some obscure music video channel which was playing the video. I instantly loved it - very rare for a first listen of a track. I then got a Ticketmaster e-mail advertising Aloe's Hammersmith gig, so I thought I would take a punt. Am I glad I did. I haven't really been into soul since the late 80s, and the last gig I went to was Alexander O'Neal and Cherelle (also at Hammersmith). I wasn't sure what to expect. The crowd was very mixed, not the middle-class urban lot I was expecting. I think that demonstrates Aloe's mass appeal. What a performer he is. Superb, soulful, powerful voice, effortless stagecraft, great dancer. He shifted seamlessly from one song to the next, engaging the audience with his charisma. Everyone was grinning like an idiot, his joie de vivre was so infectious. A great band too, young and very talented. One of the best gigs I have been to in a long time, highly recommended. Can't wait to see him again.

The band and Aloe himself were fantastic. They got everyone dancing by the end. He explained how he came to write the songs as well, and I love the way he's written about a serious subject but made a great sound too. I hope he keeps going!
