Barred from walking through King Tut's bar because my 18-year-old niece - who had made the 180-mile round trip from Broughty Ferry - didn't have ID with her. This was part of her birthday present, too, and she drove to pick us up in Perth. By the way, I'm 62 - and my wife isn't too far behind - so we weren't IDd! At least, we had seen Jesse five times previously, but this was my niece's first time. She's still waiting. What a bummer. And there was no fexibility from King Tut's manager either, despite my appeal. Wasted meal, wasted tickets and fuel. And it's not as if my niece, who wasn't looking for a drink, was under-age. She just wanted to see Jesse Malin. There's always the next time, so long as it's not King Tut's.
