Kentish town is never going to be the same.
On july 5th 2012, over 2,000 Die antwoord fans gathered for the performance of a life time, and they did it the Die antwoord way.
No one in that crowd was a regular john
Hundreds of cute girls in crazy outfits and great lads; something tells me my future wife was probably there that night.

The lights went off and we saw a projection of former member Botha who passed away last year. Very emotive.

DJ hard tech showed up and he was HUGE. There's nothing sweet about the first phrase of his song “DJ High Tek Rulez” and he WILL “fuck you in the ass”
Yolandi came out and so did everyone else. Her amazing voice on record is only surpassed by her voice on stage.
Ninja showed up a few seconds after and the mosh pit lost control. I dropped my beer which sucked but that was the last thing in my mind.
70 minutes of jumping up and fearing for my sanity.

They left the stage and came back with Enter the ninja.
And then left and came back again with Doos dronk, performing a very funny crowd-surfing sketch in costumes.

Die antwoord makes the top 5 performances I've ever seen. Their presence on stage is so strong that you are amazed and at the same time, a bit scared.

Long live die Antwoord.

great production - part mid 90's rave, part martial arts, part spoken word.... even the early sound issue delays were sorted out by the 2nd track.
Nice mix of new promotional material and older favourites - amazing energy and interaction with the crowd.

the best thing to come out of South Africa aka Cape Town in the last few years. Living over in London I feel very proud to say I come from the same place as Die Antwoord. this is the 3rd time I have seen then and they once again did not dissapoint me.

I only wish it was a little longer than an hour gig.

Although they took their time coming on stage they were non-stop for the entire hour. They stuck with the favourites, they got the crowd really going and although it was only an hour with encore it was a cracking gig. Every one was dancing, singing and waving their hands in the air - great fun.

Absolutely Amazing, Die Antwoord is something in history that has never been seen before and probably will never happen again. As a South African from the same neighbourhood and background, listening to their sound just felt so right. Contrary to how they are often perceived, they are not a group trying to be weird, rather this is liberating self-expression. Their energy was unbelievable. It was like watching the hypest DJ's, the rawest rappers and funkiest musicians all at once.
