I went with little or no expectations to this event, and was blown away by the atmosphere. The crowd really made most of what it was. It was a chance to heckle, chant, shout, scream and boo. Purists might not like it, but it was a much needed shot in the arm for snooker. It seems that people mostly feel that have to decide either one thing or the other in life, but as is so often the case, you can have BOTH. i will continue to love the World Championships AND the Power Snooker events, and both for slighlty different reasons. Basically its a chance to turn up, get drunk if you fancy it, and REALLY interact with the snooker players, and see how they cope under more pressure than normal. Also....to see them really go for it, and try and pot their way out of everything. It was intimate, cool, funny, and a great day out. Seriously, if you didnt go, GO next year. I'll see you there. Just remember to shout powerzone.

great atmosphere! all round new aspect to snooker! talking to players while they taking shots! none of the silence from the past snooker...this will definately be a hit!

What a fantastic way to spend a saturday! The atmosphere was great throughout, and some of the chants the crowd came up with during the tournament were incredible and hilarious! The players got involved too, and everyone had a great laugh!

The snooker itself was interesting and exciting. However their was a minority of the crowd who were loutish and singing offensive chants. This was encouraged by the MC which was disappointing. By the end the chanting had worn thin and ruined by enjoyment of the event.
I would definitely watch this on tv but don't think I could endure that crowd again.

The event was good, few technical issues for first time. I purchased seats at £30 each and not in a good location at all, could only see half the snooker table and at times couldnt see anything due to camera man in front of us.
Nothing to be taken away from the event, it was good, and as the crowd became more vocal the more fun was had.
