We booked a table over looking the stage area - food was good as was the service. The band played for a good 1 hour 20 mins without a break and they were excellent - interacted with the crowd, played with real passion which created an amazing atmosphere in the venue. A great night.

Tortured soul are awesome live - joan-christian (lead on drums) is has relentless energy to sing and drum the whole set! Jazz Cafe as a Venue is great to watch them because it is so close and intimate.
Only disappointment is they were pretty much asked to leave the stage even though they looked like they could play at least another track and the crowd also wanted them to play another one.

One truly amazing night with one of my favorite bands in London's Jazz Cafe. The place is all warm feeling and sounding (great sound and setup alltogether) and the Brooklyn Trio gave a fantastic performance! The only downside would be that the live started rather late, even Tortured Soul had announced 20:00 but the live started at 21:15 even though the place was packed since 20:30 or so.

So good to see the boys, again.
Been following them for 5 years now, both in the UK and through Europe.
Surprised to see a change in the line up, not worse, not better, they played together well.

On a sour note, VERY disapointed with the venue. Jazz Cafe. Rude, surley staff, bl00dy awful food.

Guys, keep playing, you rock, but PLEASE find a new venue............

Every time Tortured Soul are in town, I head down to Jazz Cafe to catch their set because every performance is unforgettable and never the same. A delight to all senses. We all enjoyed the grooves of the flawless musicians, with JC stunning the crowd with his smooth vocals and outstanding drumming skills, while Ethan jammed superbly on the keys, and Jason on the bass bringing the funk.
Never wanted the night to end. Don't be a stranger boys, London will always welcome you with open arms.
