Both the band and the venue were outstanding. Really enjoyed the chance to see such competant musicians who play with bigger bands at an accessable venue and price. The quality of the individual players showed through on solo spots. Dan the male singer was fully of energy and character - i could not help staring at him most of the night. The female singer certainly had a powerful voice, beautiful. Rob Harris on guitar was a real master. Deep concetration and enjoyment clear to see. Nobody could regret buying a ticket for Dotfunk.

Grooves were pumping; the funk was streaming; the people where jiving!! The Jamiroquai boys were just incredible as always and live in the pocket! the hit horns were just all over the tunes and cemented and coloured the sound so well. Not forgetting of course the incredible performance again from Michelle and Dan, just such a good start to the year :-) Why can't these guys do more of this stuff!!! Come on Jazz Cafe, get them back soon....please...

What an amazing night! Dotfunk thrilled us with tunes from the likes of Pleasure, Patrice Rushen, Prince, Chaka Khan, Bernard Wright etc. Each talented musician was at their best and played to perfection, coupled with the flawless vocals from Michelle John & Danny Pearce.

The fact their last performances have sold out says it all, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

You know when you know you're going to have a good night before you've even arrived at the event, but then you get that horrid niggling feeling that it may turn out to be an anti-climax 'cause you're soooooo excited, well, Dot Funk exceeded my expectations!!
I literally danced all night and smiled so much that my face ached more than my feet at the end of the night!! Ha ha!!
Seriously funky set - which isn't surprising when you have Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies and Incognito thrown together..
I never thought I'd hear a Prince cover sung so well - in fact I kinda preferred Dot Funk's versions of most of the tracks!!
Lastly the guitar solos - unreal! I was in complete awe..

Just wonderful. Really really great band and I want to go see them again. Thank you for a great night. Lots of energy and passion. As a musician myself you can really appreciate the professionalism that the band have. Really great. Thank you
