Favourite moment: The 'Tones blasting out 'celtic symphony' as an encore @
Setlist: sunday bloody sunday, let the people sing, god save ireland, you'll never beat the irish, paddle your own canoe, celtic symphony, janie mac i'm nearly 40, women of ireland, grace, irish eyes are smiling, sean south, some say the devil is dead, this is the day, irish national anthem @
Opening act(s): Stephen Dodds @
Ireland's greatest ballad group finally played in Inverness, and it was worth the wait. Support came from Stevie Dodds, the Scottish Folk scene's rising star. He warmed the crowd up well with his own repetoire of Irish songs. Then the Wolfe Tones took to the stage, and the roof nearly came off. A vibrant, enthusiastic, friendly crowd danced and jigged as the 'Tones played their now classic set, all the old favourites, let the people sing, irish eyes are smiling, Grace, Sean South and my heart is in Ireland. The gig was immense, such a friendly, warm, together atmosphere at a gig that only the Wolfe Tones can do best. Easily the biggest folk concert in the history of the highlands
