Waste of time and money

We booked this gig in great excitement as we've never managed to see the Allstars before and were really disappointed. We were told to arrive by 7pm and when we got there, awful music was playing over the speakers, the bar had barely anything on offer and we had to wait an hour and a half before the band came on! People were sitting down on the floor as there was nowhere to sit and some people told us they had been there since 6pm, just waiting! When the band did finally come on they were nowhere near as good as we had expected, actually the beginning was a bit of a shambles, it did pick up towards the end of the set but that didn't really make up for it. In the end, we waited so long that we didn't even bother staying for The Black Seeds, as we've seen them several times before and it was 9.30pm by this time and we live well outside London. For the price of the tickets we were pretty cheesed off and I don't think I would visit this venue again unless I could guarantee a good performance.

blackseeds are awesome! and there live act is amazing i love there energy and love for the good grooves, seen them about 5 times now in london twice and then the rest in NZ,
they know how to get the crowd moving it was so much fun love you guys!!
and what an added bonus to see easy star all stars! there were amazing too! as too were Rhombus! amazing line up!

Opening act(s): Rhombus (these guys are all Kiwi class!), and Easy Star All Stars (not bad - but I felt they played for too long, and a bit of a glorified covers band really). @

There's no other band I've seen live as many times as I've seen The Seeds - and last night won't be the last. Love the live sound and the beats of the band all coming together superbly. A great night - and with great friends there too; a crackin combination!

as hearing them with the Kiwi sun beating down upon you, salt in your hair and sand between your toes.
Their new stuff is excellent!!!
Only comment on the gig was for a Sunday night they took a long time to come on and the supporting act played way too long.

The best way to spend a Sunday night.
Both The Black Seeds (so good to see Kiwis absolutely killing it all over the world!) and the Easy Star All Stars blew me away.

I thought the Black Seeds played a really good set. The Easy Star All Stars were fairly good.
I would have enjoyed the concert more though if the supporting act (Easy stars) had come on much earlier and same with the Black Seeds. The Easy stars only came on at about 9 which had the chain effect of having the Black Seeds on really late like 10pm. Would have been fine for a Fri or Sat but hard on a Sunday when you have to go to work the next day.

That was a long night! We went into the Forum at 7pm and left at 11.20 for the last tube home, with the Black Seeds still on stage!
They were so musically tight after so long on the road, it was a joy to be part of their celebration at reaching the end of a long world tour.
Also, I didn't realise just how many Kiwis there are living in London - this was a celebration for them,too.
East Star All Stars were much freer,looser,laid back...and fun! For them,this was a 'greatest hits' showcase, with chunks of Sgt.Pepper, Dub Side of the Moon and Radiodread for us all to sing along with. And we did!
That was a really imaginative pairing. A great show. I only wish London Transport's Sunday service was as generous in its Sunday timings as the bands were prepared to be!
