That was a long night! We went into the Forum at 7pm and left at 11.20 for the last tube home, with the Black Seeds still on stage!
They were so musically tight after so long on the road, it was a joy to be part of their celebration at reaching the end of a long world tour.
Also, I didn't realise just how many Kiwis there are living in London - this was a celebration for them, too.
East Star All Stars were much freer, looser, laid back...and fun! For them, this was a 'greatest hits' showcase, with chunks of Sgt.Pepper, Dub Side of the Moon and Radiodread for us all to sing along with. And we did!
That was a really imaginative pairing. A great show. I only wish London Transport's Sunday service was as generous in its Sunday timings as the bands were prepared to be!
