weather was great which was just as well a lot of hanging about! .The bands were great apart from bananarama who were awful!. Kim Mazelle and Nathan were not on for long enough

Don't get me wrong, the music was great and so was to atmosphere (due to the 80's fans). How ever the rest was a little disappointing. The roller disco was far too small. the fairground attractions, well there was 1! Food available on site was also a very poor selection.

It was great atmosphere, not crowded so you have the freedom to either sit down and even stand between intervals. Waited on the last bus back to Partick but was dissapointed as the bus never stopped.

Myself and 2 friends arrived early afternoon, sun was still out which made a big difference, we were able to have some drinks outside. Went to the rollar disco, had a great time going around and around trying to avoid those that were unsteady in their boots, just wish the rink had been alot bigger, far too small for the amount of people there. Went to the curry karaoke(not sure what was going on there, defo no curry been served and dancing comps going on eh?)
went into to see most of the bands, loved ABC the most, thought everyone else were good but disappointd when bananarama came on in their modern clothes and not looking like they used and with 1 girl missing but the male dancers made up for it lol.
On the whole it was a great time and we had lots of fun.

How bad were they ? Headline act my legwarmers.............Four Good Men were the highlight. Go West were good tae. Don't mention the toilets and the price of bevvy tho..........

the whole day was so well organised having gigs inside and then a space for an hour then another gig plus all the other events that were happening. the weather and the staff made it a great day

Really enjoyed this years event more than last. All the groups were great with the exception of Bananarama. There were 6 of us and we all found them disappointing. The rest of the day was great, good organisation of the bar area this year compared to last, lots of people getting into the spirit of the day dressing up (including us?). The sun shone, we danced all day and night and even had to borrow a shopping trolley to take one of our dollies home due to having danced soooooo much! Looking forward to next year?

I thought the event was very good from getting our tickets at the entrance to finding a taxi home.
the drinks were a bit expensive - £10 for 3 drinks vouchers!! but the weather made it for me, it was glorious looking over the river drinking in the sunshine with my best mates going to see my fav band - Go West.
My Christine would have loved it!! Miss you Chris.

All in all this was a great day. the sun shone which helped considerably. I'm not sure how well this would work if the weather was bad as there is a half hour wait between each act and it was great to go out for some fresh air & a bit of sunshine. There was a definite carnival atmosphere about the place with the majority of people in fancy dress. The high point for me was Alexander O'Neil, real talent and a truly professional act. The lowpoint was Bananarama this was the only band I walked out from and didn't listen to. They were torturous, like 2 tipsy females let loose on a home karaoke machine, they were truly awful. All the other bands in between were really very good and the crowd joined in either dancing or singing along to all the songs. The bar was very well run, with almost no queue all day, the selection was not great, but that's what you expect as these kind of gigs. I looked into the roller disco tent but opted not to go in, it's just not my scene, might have been fun for some. Now, I love karaoke and can sing fairly well. I was looking forward to having a "wee chant" in the karaoke tent but when I got there you could'nt actually hear any of the singers (except the bad ones that shouted or screamed!) because the backing track was so loud, I didn't bother going up. When my friend and I left there were a few people outside 'voicing' there opinion on this to the security guy on the door, don't think he had much to do with the running of this one!!!! Toilets are another thing to be prepared for, the ones in the arena were fine at the start of the day, but enter at tyour own risk towards the end of the evening, in fact, if you have a mask from the swine flu epidemic kickin around, take it with you!!!. I really enjoyed the day and plan going back next year with a bigger group of friends.
