The show started one hour late and with plenty of empty seats there was a downbeat start to the proceedings. Just as the crowd got restless the Ustad walked in after his supporting band.
Fateh Ali Khan was simply awesome as he went through his repertoire of power packed and emotion drenched qawwalis and Bollywood hits displaying astounding vocal dynamics and technique. The supporting band and especially his saxophonist and the bass and lead guitars were excellent.
The sound mixing was good, maybe a tad loud but that possible was because the sound checks were done with a full crowd in mind.
Why more tickets were not sold beats me as many that I know said that they had got no tickets.
The one thing that rankled was that no apology was made for the late start and no reasons given either.

I have seen qawwalis in shrines in South Asia and I am not new to people getting intoxicated by the music; the atmosphere there is so conducive to it, you almost breathe it. The last thing I would have thought, was that I would myself nearly reach a trance and see a young man reaching it and pass out in an ugly, bleak entertainment venue in Wales. That is the power of Rahat ji. It was possibly the best night in my life.

This show was so disappointing. I attended Rahats concert in April this year and that was amazing, thought he would do the same again but was a Massive let down.

All I can say is amazing you can hear Rahat's songs as many times but the energy and atmosphere of seeing him live was definitely worth it...one not to be missed! worth every penny!!!

The concert was amazing and totally surpassed my expectations. Apart from the fantastic performance of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and his band, the sound system, lighting and stage effects were also superb.
The only unpleasant experience was the bad organization of ticket collection prior to the concert.

What an amazing show/night. One things for certain Ustad Rahat never fails to disappoint, been to his concert 3 years in a row and I'd do it all over again! Beautiful songs, beautiful voice, one word for him EPIC!! X

Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is an excellent performer with a distinct voice. His group provided very good support vocally and musically. However, I was disappointed that the show started 45 minutes late, there was no update about the cause of delay or in fact any information indicating that there would be a delay, and finally when the performance did start there was no apology, not even a hint. The song selection was very good and covered Sufi music, Qawwalis, Punjabi and Bollywood, definitely a crowd pleaser. All in all, a great show, which deserves 4 stars for the energy and passion but gets only 3, due to lack of courtesy.
