Featured Review

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to see Shrek the Musical. The staging was fantastic, the cast was great and Nigel Harman's performance as the height challenged prince was extra-ordinary. We would recommend the show to anyone.

Shrek the Musical was probably on of the best kids based show we have seen. My daughter and I could not believe how funny it was for both adult and children humor. The casting was brilliant and story line accurate enough for kids to follow. Many very funny moments and some interesting surprises eg. the dragon. No boring scenes that went on too long just fun packed ones.
On our journey home we sent around to friends messages to say it is a must see. My youngest daughter was sick 30 mins before we left for London and so missed it. We will be definitley looking for tickets to take her.

Absolutely excellent. this was the second time that i have seen Shrek and it was just a good, funny and well played as the first. The special effects are out of this world and the way they did the Dragon was amazing.

Carly Stenson and the guy who plays Shrek (sorry dont know his/ur name....) were hilarious, and had a real chemistry.

Richard Blackwood was really good as the Donkey and the way Lord Faquard was portrayed was really funny.

i am gutted its finished its run in London and only hope they tour it as i would love to take my son as he is too young to see it at the moment.

EXCELLENT x

Absolutely loved it! The cast were incredible and gave a really solid performance. The staging and props used were great and really added to the overall effect of the production. Costumes were also great and it reminded me of specific moments from the movie which I thought I had forgotten! :)

I can only write adjectives: fantastic, mesmerizing, funny, deliriously funny, enchanting.
If you have the possibility go and see this wonderful show. The actors are amazing, the songs, the cast, the scenes, the props, the lights and the orchestra, the dragon that swoops on top of your head......everything!!! It is worth every penny. I laughed so much I almost cried. Well done to everybody who created this show and who performed on stage!!!! An unforgettable afternoon of fun and laughter for all the family. Truly!

Read all the reviews and it looked quite promising, by the interval I was clockwatching.
It seemed that the best jokes and funny moments had just been taken out of the movie and used in the production without adding anything else.they had also added some scenes which actually detracted from the storyline.
The standard of acting was good but the main characters didn't really bringing anything to the party!
If you have kids however, they would have loved it.

Very disappointed with the performance after rave reviews from family and friends, can only assume that with only a week to go the cast required for a west end performance had moved on. The sound was poor, cast was disjointed with pauses in the production. It was so bad we left during the interval.

Needed to be so much louder! The main characters could hardly be heard! Whole cast needed to be so much louder. Didn't feel like everyone was giving 100% with movements seemed half hearted. Great shame admits a wonderful show but that let it down!

Only complaint is the seats were uncomfortable, but I got over it as the show went on

Took our Grandson for his 10th Birthday. We were sat in the upper circle so had a very good view of the stage but unfortunatly that was the only really good thing. We struggled to hear what the actors were saying because the sound was poor. It was so hot my husband kept dozzing off. There was only one song from the film which was at the very end. It just seemed to lack the fun of the film and as we were having trouble hearing it it just made it all the more disapointing. There were other younger children getting board as well and they were making a noise. My overall opinion was dissapointing as we had been looking forward to seeing it for months and as we had travelled up from Portsmouth over 2 hr drive it kind of left us a bit flat. On a possitive side my Grandson enjoyed it which at the end of the day was what we went for.

Ive never been one for musicals but after seeing shrek that has all changed!
Ive seen the films and never for one minute imagined how good the musical was going to be!
The cast was top, costumes brilliant and the story amazing!
If your thinking of going do hurry! It finishes end of feb 2013 as moving to america!
Im unable to go again but can say i did and im 100% glad i did.
One for all ages :)
