Its a very special but slso very small venue. Performance was unforgettable. Zucchero anf his team had to adapt to very different circumstances to perform in such a tiny place. They done fantastic job. It was fun !!! I have seen them performing in lots of other places but this one will have a soecial place on my hear. Well done!!!

A packed Olympia Theatre saw Zucchero perform an excellent set comprising numbers from his Cuban-inspired latest CD plus many of his old favourites.
The Theatre is amazing with an authentic Victorian décor - only the gas lamps were missing - and the two and a quarter hours performance just flew by.
Some acoustic numbers were well received as were the great "feel good" songs - like Guantanamero and La Bamba.............fabulous night!

Favourite moment: When he played a blues song /ballad it rained & everyone sat down. As soon as he played something more rocky all got up dancing & it stopped raining! @

We saw him three years ago in Peterborough in The Cresset and it was fantastic then! You can't imagine how disappionted we were to find that we were on holiday the weekend he played at the Royal Albert Hall! So off I went and researched and found tickets for the weekend after in the Arena in Verona (Italy).
What a beautiful trip and the concert was brrrrrrrrilliant! Although it rained on and off through half of the concert it was an unforgettable evening. Nobody left the venue and from young (ca. 8yrs) to old (far over the 60s) everybody sang and danced with him. There was an Italian guy sitting next to us who knew every single word of every song Zucchero performed.
There are more concerts in September in the Arena and in the meantime he will be touring Italy, Germany and other European countries. I'd recommend the concerts in the Roman Greek Theatre in Taormina (Sicily). Great venue with fantastic views of the sea and the volcano Mount Etna. It's a pity I can't make the dates (19 to 20th July).
He must be seen in his country, the atmosphere was fantastic!

I've seen Zucchero twice now in the UK, first time in Oxford back in 2008 and last week in London. The first performance he sung a wide variety of his music. London's gig was mainly about his latest album: Chocabeck. But also older songs and of course his big hits. The atmosphere was sensational. You just wanted to get up and dance with everyone! He really connects with the audience which is lovely.
Would strongly recommend going to one of his gigs. Even if you only like a couple of songs, the mood and surroundings turns it into an amazing outing. Fantastic band also: fresh, different and good quality.
Also, depending on the type of music you like, I would recommend anyone seeing him! He appeals to everyone. There were slightly older people and quite young, so a nice mixture.
Looking forward to the next concert!
