I've read a few of the reviews posted on TM and cannot understand how people say TAPFS were "as good as" or "nearly as good as" - whilst I thought they were ok, I wouldn't say they were anywhere near as good as the original !!!! Some people cannot have seen Pink Floyd live. Anyway I agree the girl who sang 'THE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY' did a reasonable job. I didnt get (or see anyone wearing) 3D glasses - We had seats 14 rows from the front & were reasonably central, which meant we had a good view & he sound wasnt bad. I dont think I will be buying the DVD when its released as I can still recall watching the real PF. Sorry to post a negative'ish review but I felt someone had to. btw what a mess getting people into their seats at the beginning would have been better if seats had been allocated

Better than I could have hoped for. I've seen Aus. Pink Floyd before and loved the fact that you could close your eyes and they are as good as the real thing. Not sure they'd ever better previous performances, but they managed it... the light show and stage set were amazing and not just at odd times during the performance. The whole show was superb - great performance and it seemed never ending too! They must have been on stage for 3 hours or so and I never tired of listening! WOW ...glad I booked tickets for the 2012 tour too... it will be a knockout! :)

This was a free concert - tickets given away via the band's website - to anyone who had already purchased tickets for their up-coming tour. The concert was being filmed for a dvd to be released later this year.
The were fantastic - absolutely note-perfect and the lightshow was spectacular (see photos for an idea)
I can certainly recommend this band to anyone who has the slightest interest in Pink Floyd.
Looking forward to the dvd and to the concert next year.

This was a show for the fans who have bought tickets for next years shows, I had received my allocation of tickets and we turned up at the Apollo nice and early to find a queue of happy fans all pleased to be there as the show was being recorded for a live DVD. We duly queued up and were eventually let into the foyer area. Unfortunately there was a hold up with the seating that led to a 30 minute wait with everyone pushed in tight. Eventually we were allowed into the stalls area and seated by staff. The show started at least 30 mins late and I hoped this wouldn't afffect the show length as I really enjoyed it when I saw it in March.
As it was being filmed the house lights were up a bit which was a bit annoying but the show started and I was happily rewarded with the perfect sound and light show that the Australian Pink Floyd are known for, note perfect accuracy and an atmospheric lighting. lasers and their own brand of visuals on the big circular screen. I have seen them at least once a year since 2007 and never been let down, always a great performance and this year they had the 3D show visuals. For this performance there was no 3D but the same greatest hits type set list. Because of a few technical issues a couple of songs were repeated but I enjoyed every minute and it was nice to see the technical bits being done but overall a great gig. I'd recommend seeing this band at any opportunity and at a normal gig I'd have given it 5 stars, it's only the poor organisation for getting people in that let the evening down and I don't think the band had anything to do with that.
Best song - 'Dogs' from the Animals album because it was an amazing rendition of a song you don't often here, a real deep cut.

As usual, the Australian Pink Floyd show were incredible, probably the best tribute band in the world. This was my 5th time I've seen them and their show just keeps on improving every time, and this was no exception.
However, the management was shocking and extremely frustrating. We were treated like children who had to be sent to the end of the row, so it turned out that the people who queued outside the venue for the longest period of time got the worst seats, whereas they should have been able to choose their own seats, which would have saved lots of time and a lot of aggravation.
Overall, the concert was amazing, only let down by the poor decisions by the venue staff and management.

Far superior to the Brit Floyd kareoke band.
Australian Pink Floyd show actually sound like the real Floyd. Detail is what matters, with this tribute group that's certainly what you get.
Very good lighting effects too for good measure.

I'm a dedicated fan of our original Pink Floyd, having seen them many times.
The Aussie Floyd recreate their sheer brilliance superbly. We've now been to see their show 3 times and reckon they play just as superbly now as the Floyd did years ago. Their show is simply fantastic, using strobe and laser lighting effects of such beauty that the original Floyd must wish they could have had that option going for them too, but they weren't invented back then were they.
At their absolute best with the Floyd's later albums (Wall, Wish you were here, Dark Side of the Moon) they tonight also played an excellent Meddle, and a Be Careful With That Axe Eugene that transported me years back (to a party where a girl called an ambulance for a drunk JUST as Eugene screamed. So many police arrived first ...). Tonight the Aussie Floyd also did a rendition, well two actually for filming purposes of Arnold Lane, which was great even though I don't normally rate it.
Ok Aussie Floyd: my challenge is for you to master Saucerful of Secrets before we see you in Stoke next March.
Don't miss this band - they are excellent!

From the opening 'hair standing on end' bars of Wish You were Here, to the closing laser fuelled madness of Run Like Hell, Australian Pink Floyd demonstrated that they aren't just a Pink Floyd tribute band, but are a unique, theatrical and cinematical experience to be seen in their own right. The whole evening was flawless, totally enjoyable and a complete musical event.
Already looking forward to seeing them in 2012, when they return to complete yet another, I am sure, triumphant tour of the UK. Thanks for a truly memorable night!!

The Australian Pink Floyd Show never fail to come up trumps!! Having travelled all the way from The Scottish Borders down to London (by bus) - myself & partner were totally exhausted, but once we got to the venue, we were so excited. They played the usual favourites, but Comfortably Numb was particularly spectacular - also got to hear Arnold Layne twice, as they were recording it for the DVD, they weren't quite happy with it the first time (although I don't think anyone in the audience noticed!!)
The inflatable Skippy, Teacher and The Pig made their usual appearances, lasers and sound system were out of this world!!
All in all - an excellent gig, well worth the long journey and already got my tickets for Edinburgh next year.

When I have seen this band in the past they have played loads of classics from the Wall, Dark Side of the Moon, Wish you were here etc. Although there were a couple of such songs there was a lot of more obscure stuff that really wasn't to my liking. Also, there has been some band changes and, in my opinion, the band are worse off for it.
