First up the opening acts. there was i believe a local band on first who where pertty dam good. Surgyn was my first time seeing these guys and i loved every second of them will defo be buying there cd when it comes out on Deathwatch Asia loved there tf2 medic samples they used :D and there music just keeps ya jumping and moveing there defo gunna get far!.
Jacye Lewis was an classic industrialised metal style (e..g rammstein be my enemy etc) there music i enjoyed allot although id have to say i think surgyn would have better placed before combi and Jayce on after the first act..

Now for Combi ths was my first EBM gig and i have to say i was at download 2012 the prodigy where insane i didnt think nothing could top them but when combi played they dam well did for me anyway. It was mostly old stuff they played was just hit after hit i ant to sure if combi was expecting the crowd reactions they got form every venue they played but glasgow loved them never raved danced so much in my life before.

if you ever see these guys coming to your home town then buy a ticket because there just mind blowing :)

These guys are incredible, I find it's best not to take those of a nervous disposition, this is not for the faint hearted.

From the opening of Without Emotions to the closing of WTFIWWY? the intensity didn't let up. It was the industrial/ebm equivalent of Phil Spector's wall of sound and it was incredible! Personal highlights were Get Your Body Beat, Throat Full Of Glass and WTFIWWY? Support Jayce Lewis are better live than on record, and Surgyn get better every time, but the night belonged to the awesome Combichrist.

I've been to sevral Combichrist gigs in the past and this was without doubt the best of the lot! The warmup bands were playing in order of talent - I'm a big Surgyn fan but the third warmup band was fantastic and if anybody knows what they were called let me know because I'd like to keep an eye out for them.
The venue was great, enough room for dancing and I liked that the bar was a seperate area. Any time I fancyed a break I could get a drink, sit on a sofa, and still see/hear the band. For those like me who like to wear earplugs on occation they were available for free at the bar, but tbh the music was not painfully loud, just loud enough to feel it.
Combichrist were on top form, I belive they played there setlist cronologicly so there were plenty of there old favourites. They knew how to work the crowd and get everybody going mental, I only wish I'd worn slightly more comfy shoes and I could have stayed on the dancefloor all night. Fantastic night out, + free entry to classic grand afterwards for a decent afterparty. Was a little quiet afterwards but we called it an early night and headed back to our hostel.

We usualy drive up and back from gigs like this but it's well worth booking a local hostel. Very cheap and everything is nearby.

We also took a friend who'd never seen an industrial band before and even she thought it was the best gig she'd been to. Usuaky I'm not a fan of the double drum setup, but they got it perfect and it blended perfectly with the music.

Raw energy greeted us as we walked into the gig, waves of heat and sound making Combichrist a living, writhing entity on the stage.

Every pose a photo opportunity LaPlegua raged and smiled demonically through the set, framed by 2 bunnies sitting on top of the drum kits, a fabulous contrast.

This band sounds like their recorded music and to experience it in the flesh, surrounded by a sea of black wearing goths/punks/just plain wonderfully odd looking people was just amazing.

We danced for 2 hours straight, then went out into the refreshingly cool rain and relived every moment. A stunning group, a stunning venue and damn polite crowd!
