In a city rife with opportunities to discover and learn more about history, culture and... well... pretty much anything you might wish for, the tour of the Houses of Parliament is one of the truly enjoyable as well as humbling experiences. Everything from the architecture of the building to its history and evolution as well as current day politics and its logistics are touched upon making it my second favourite guided tour in London (right after The Tower of London).

If I could recommend one tour in London, this would be it. Luckily l visited on a Friday when the Members were not in attendance so we got to go in The House Of Lords and Commons. Brilliant tour with an excellent guide, l learned more about Parliament in one hour than I did in 10 years in school!

The tour guide was very funny and knowledgable. It was great to see all the rooms and espiecially the House of Commons chamber

Really enjoyed this tour seeing behind the scenes. Westminster Hall full of atmosphere and the HoP full of character. Really interesting although would have liked to have had time to look at display cabinets but unable to as all guided tours. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and good sense of humour.
Really nice cafe too and not high prices either which was surprising.

VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE GUIDE (PAMELA) WHO RECITED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING FROM MEMORY. AMAZING ! GREAT TO HEAR THE HISTORY AND PLACES WHERE (SOME OF) IT HAPPENED. WOULD HAVE LIKED A LITTLE BIT LONGER AND THE CHANCE TO LOOK AT THINGS A BIT MORE CLOSELY AND MAYBE GO OUT ON THE RIVERSIDE TERRACE.

Absolutely amazing. Groups of 25 are taken around the Houses of Parliament. Explains about the Palace of Westminster, the Queens Robing room and of course the Houses of Commons/Lords. Tour takes 75 minutes. Could have gone round again.
Airport like security, so allow an extra 20 minutes before your allocated time. Toilets and a small cafe in the Great Hall.

Took my 10 year old and we both loved it. Had forgotten how small the Houses of Commons and Lords are in reality - my daughter was really struck by how different they look from on the television. The guide was really super and seemed genuinely interested in her material. Wierd traditions abound - eg Black Rod. All in all it was great and I would totally recommend it.

We did this tour in early September and we really enjoyed it, the guide especially was excellent, we heard every word and she made the whole thing come alive. We have told our friends not to miss this tour and the price was really low, we think it's the best value for money you could get in London, or anywhere come to think of it!

Excellent tour. Informative guide. You will vist the House of Lords, the House of Commons, the lobbys, & the corridors of power. See all the statues, paintings etc.
& feel the history. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed it.

An excellent 1.5hour tour. Had an excellent guide who was extremely well informed. He filled us with masses of information but it was done at an even pace in order not to overload the party. Well worth a visit - thoroughly recommended.

I've always wanted to visit the Houses of Parliament because its such a fantastic building. It didn't disappoint ! The tour was very efficient and informative. I was impressed because not only do they have tours in English but the same for a few different other languages making it a great expereince for tourists.
