Excellent gig - brilliant venue. Sound was great, and he was such a fun, energetic ,peace loving guy that was very much, one of us. He put on a brilliant night

Fantastic gig from Franti and his band. The atmosphere and energy were phenomenal!! Only slight criticism was the lack of supporting guests. What happenend to them? They were ( whoever they were suposed to be) nowhwhere to be seen!!

Michael Franti is such an epic performer. For example: he didn't wear shoes on stage, said 'namaste' and invited all of us to his casa in San Francisco. Spearhead is such an electric and engaging band, so much energy! AMAZING CONCERT!

From first song to last, Michael Franti and Spearhead were just terriffic. Playing a wide variety of songs, Franti had the whole place captivated. Getting into the crowd (including upstairs where we were) Franti proved that he is not averse to mixing with the fans, and MF and band members also came out to be with the crowd at the end of the gig too. MF is a real trooper. I went with a friend who hadn't even heard of Franti before 930AM on the morning of the gig, and he was totally blown away by it. "I'm off to order some of his records" was the response when I asked my friend if he had enjoyed the evening!
Koko - A fabulous venue, curteous staff, and great sound. Well done.

The only thing that could be a more fun gig would be this lot and Manu Chao's band on the same bill.....

Can't wait to see Michael Franti again.

Setlist: oh man, I can't remember all that they played. Ganja babe, All I Want Is You, Rude Boy, sound of sunshine, Hello Bonjour, etc etc @

Opening act(s): can't remember the name, but he was having a fine old time too, and was a pretty amazing musician @

These people are just lovely. The music was amazing, rolling from one song into the next with barely room for breath. The whole band was absolutely rocking, and I didn't stop dancing throughout the whole set. A great way to cram huge amounts of fun into an evening! Really crowd-friendly too, they're not at all aloof, and they're all so happy. Also they came down and played among the crowd a few times so folk at the back didn't miss out.

I have seen Micheal Franti live three times so far, Twice in the Liquid rooms and once in the Corn exchange in Edinbugh.

The shows are never less than absolulety brilliant life afirming stuff with the crowd always swept along by a tight band performance of exceptional ability to communicate with an audience and lift the spirits. Michael having real charisma warmth and charm.

All this would be wasted if the band did not have the tunes to back up the performance, but they do in spades.

The sound of sunshine indeed.
