It seems the group have traded great music for tacky theatric gimmics. Their attempt at seductive sexuallity was over done unnecessary and contrived. That aside the sining was very weak. As if the actual musician from the studio producrion had been left at home.
Unfortunatly i have nothing possitive to say about the concert. I am very fond of their albums and i was shocked how bad the live show was.

This show would have been acceptable in a student union bar, not this sort of venue. The band had no charisma or interaction with the audience. To much time was spent on costume changes and prancing around the stage. The only highlight was the fabulous guitarist in a leopard print suit, afro and white pointed winkle pickers!

A great gig in an intimate venue. Atmospheric and spirited reworking of classic tracks with a French twist. Two excellent lead singers - particularly Nadeah - an amazing voice, great stage presence and some incredibly energetic dancing. |One of the best live shows I've seen in years.

humm. not bad but nowhere near as good a show as i would have expected. £25 a ticket and only 1 act. lack of impact tracks showed as lots of sitting down.
ending was terrible as had 3 encores. lots of people left as no one really knew whet they were doing. where was the big finale?
i am a far of NV but think i'll stick to the CD's.

An absolute fantastic night out. Beautifully entertaining, gorgoeous French girls with superb sensual voices singing 80s and 90s classics. Great energy and dancing and outstanding crowd interaction.

The band played just for one hour. They played no more than 10 songs.
The arena got super cold half way through the concert since a very cold air conditioning draft suddenly started for no apparent reason.

When I try to explain the sounds of Nouvelle Vague to friends who have never heard of them, my shoddy description of a French band that cover classic 80s tracks seems far from the flattery they deserve. Their tunes are not just covers but original re-takes of some of my favorite old punk rock and new wave records and the sexy French style that the Parisian band layout is as amazing live as it is when chilling out listening to their CDs. Something about the French accent has always turned me on and singers Mélanie Pain, the slightly bonkers Nadeah Miranda and absolutely stunning Mareva Galanter made even the most mundane lyrics sound erotic. The highlight for me though had to be guest vocalist Skye (Morcheeba), who could make Agadoo sound sexy, perform Heart of Glass to perfection with her amazing husky style. The lighting, sound and general aura of the Royal Albert Hall, one of my favorite music venues in the capital city, complimented the band to perfection and helped to make this one of the stand out gigs of 2010.

I didn´t know this band before the show. I went to see them just to be with one of my best friends who was the person who really liked and knew them. But after the show, I´ve become a fan of Nouvelle Vague. The performance was amazing and they interacted so much with the public. I strongly recommend this group to everybody. The music it´s so different from was it is usually heard on the radio. Everyone MUST hear something from this group.

It was the first time ever I listened to them and I've became a fan already. Their performance was perfect, very exciting, full of energy. Strongly recommend. I met a guy called Anthony that told me he saw them 5 times already :) Im gonna see them next time they play here too!

This was the second time that we have seen Nouvelle Vague live and left feeling disappointed. The previous venue had been smaller and more intimate and we were near the front, and this time we were at the back, so this could have impacted. I didn't feel at all connected to what was happening on stage. I had been so looking forward to seeing them and normally love Melanie Pain's beautiful voice. I felt that something was missing and I won't be buying the new album. We even left before the encore had finished and this is something that I never do! What a shame.
