Would give as many stars as I gave 'z's in the title if possible. The Act were incredible as was to be expected, unfortunately, Mariam was not on the stage the full time, but this was explained to us. The Band's energy was through the roof, with great backing singers, and lively drummers. The Venue was perfect for a concert of this style, not too big, yet not cramped. Reasonable price drinks. Would go again if possible.

I am sorry to say that I did not enjoy the support artist, Ebony Bones, which seems to believe that being a popular artist is shouting and heavy percussions!!!
It is a shame that for most of the concert Mariam was not on stage and I felt that the show was more about the dancers than Amadou and Mariam. I was expecting more emphasis on their songs and voices...

I saw them last at the round house with k naan suppporting....so from that starting point....hmmm.. The s bush empire has a flat standing area rather than a slope so views behind tall people are limited. Mariam was not well so the songs were limited...amadou did well but I think worried about his wife....only did a couple of their older tracks....real shame...would see them again but not at the empire.

An amazing fusion of African beats, Pop and electronic sounds resulted in an unforgettable music experience! The Mariam and Amadou sound is infectious and had the entire venue stamping, clapping, dancing and cheering for more. Brilliant!

We took a chance going to this gig as we'd not heard any of their material. They were outstanding! Beautiful songs, performed brilliantly. The vibe was really great too, none of the usual stupid antics that now spoil a lot of live gigs.

If you get a chance to see them, go - go with an open mind. Your soul will be refreshed.

Show was expected to start at 7pm but didn't kick off till almost 9pm. The wait was worth it in the end as it was an amazing performace from amazing singers and band. It was impossible not to move as the sound filled the HMV Forum wall to wall.

Apart from the overloading of decibels from the support group, this was a night to remember. Amadou has honed his guitar style and has a very strong voice. He did very well, supported vocally by Mariam, to give such a powerful performance

Right from the start they had everyone's attention, although it took a while for people to start jigging about. There were some very touching moments during the gentler songs but the guitar solos from Amadou and the incredible energy of the dancers meant that everyone came out feeling energised and in love with them all over again. A particular treat were 2 of the Magic Numbers joining on their new track, although Romeo looked a little awkward at times.

In this dull,dreary and very grey period of the year a better tonic than Amadou and Mariam could not be found.
Their show was full of happiness, energy, beautiful costumes, fantastic musicians and amazing dancers; and of course we have the wonderful Amadou and Mariam centre stage beaming like the sun.
It was wonderful watching quite an upright, uptight crowd melt and join in with the dancing and singing; the happiness was contagious.
A fantastic show that warmed every heart in the audience; I don't think anyone leaving the venue felt the chill in the night air.

Mali's magic couple on fine form as always at the Forum, Kentish Town. Apacked auditorium was on its feet by the first number, and jived to the African beats until the end, almost two hours later.Spectacular lighting and set design topped an unforgettable evening.

They are such great performers but the sound quality was so dreadful that we left after 40 mins. Practically every song ended up sounding the same due to overloud bass/drums and general 'booming' sound. Mariam's voice which is so spectacularly beautiful on record was completely lost and the subtlety of the instruments destroyed. Do you offer refunds?

The best performers I have seen this year in London. I have seen them 3 times already in 2009 and look forward to the next concert !
Their music is full of rythm, beautifully interpreted and above all with strong and catchy melodies.
