Have to say, I bought 2 tickets for the boyfriend who like Teddy Thompson, but was blown away, both by David Ford and Teddy Thompson. David Ford did a brilliant set, the penultimate song complete aural anarchy, followed by the loveliest ballad in a duet. I'd even say I preferred it to Teddy Thompson because he was so damn good. Teddy Thompson's band were on top form, really tight, the American violinist gave the spine-tingling performance. The new album sounded great, will be buying that!

The evening started with a solo set from David Ford. I've never seen him play before and don't think I would enjoy a whole evening of his somewhat angst ridden songs but he is a clever musician and has a great voice which he uses well. His use of the music box to record and repeat was interesting but did go slightly over the top for me.
Teddy Thomson and his band which included David Ford were excellent. Special praise for the violinist who added a whole lot to every song she played on. Teddy apologised for playing mostly new stuff from his latest album but he needn't have as the songs were very well played, varied and drew you in. He did a solo set in the middle which for me was not so successful and it was a relief to have the band back on stage. All in all a great night out

Had a fantastic night at the ironworks. . . David Ford was brilliant, and had to buy the two cd's avail afterwards. Mr Thompson, I'm a huge fan, a he did not disappoint! Fantastic set. Songs from new album "Bella" were fantastic....roll on 8th Feb..can't wait to get my hands on it...and he pleased the crowd with a load of songs from the past too...excellent evening..I may need to try catch him down south before the tour ends...If you have never heard Teddy singing live, please please go see him, he has one of the clearest, purest, truly truly stunning voices you will ever hear!!! x x x x

Never listened to David Ford before the gig...very very impressed with his talent,indeed ,He was an unexpected bonus on a night organised primarily to see Teddy Thompson...also very good by the way.....

Teddy's voice is so mmmm, I could listen to him all night and day. Halfway through the concert I realised it was going to end eventually and just hoped he would come back to Inverness to play again. Fingers crossed. He is as just as good live as recorded and he entertained with his own style of music which draws you in, as well as interacting with the crowd, showing he has a great personality and sense of humour. David Ford is certainly talented and well worth seeing. You can tell the whole band get on as they all work well together and sound amazing. Super Trouper was unexpected but certainly entertaining. Keep it up Teddy and hope you come back to Inverness soon.

superb singing voice with excellent range and projection. good charisma and presence on stage. songs medium, could improve songwriting tunes. solo efforts great
